Affirming Stability, Transparency, and Continued Value Creation for K9 Finance DAO

Proposal: Resolution for a Community Vote of Confidence in the Marketing SubDAO

Affirming Stability, Transparency, and Continued Value Creation for K9 Finance DAO

1. Executive Summary

Over the past year, the K9 Finance Marketing SubDAO has become one of the most reliable and value-producing structures in the entire Shib ecosystem. It has delivered consistent programming, maintained community sentiment through volatile periods, and expanded K9’s visibility and credibility well beyond its size.

This proposal is not about funding, leadership, or restructuring.
It is about affirming confidence in a SubDAO that has consistently executed, consistently shown up, and consistently delivered measurable benefit to the K9 DAO and the broader Shib ecosystem.

A formal Vote of Confidence allows the community to make a clear statement:
the Marketing SubDAO remains a critical asset to K9 Finance and continues to have the trust and support of its stakeholders.

2. Proven Track Record of Consistency and Reliability

Few DAO teams in the Shib ecosystem can match the consistency of the Marketing SubDAO.

Voice Chat & Spaces Programming

  • 7+ hours per week of scheduled audio programming
  • 6 rotating hosts, each bringing unique formats and perspectives
  • 95 consecutive weeks of DAO Update shows with zero misses
  • Hundreds of hours of community education, news recaps, governance discussions, and sentiment stabilization
  • K9 remains the only Shib-related community offering daily or near-daily audio content

This reliability is not performative. It’s operational discipline.
When sentiment dips, markets wobble, or external attacks flare up, K9 shows up every day.

3. Social & Ecosystem Credibility Gains

The Marketing SubDAO has helped transform K9 Finance into:

One of the most open, transparent, and respected brands in the Shib ecosystem.

This is supported by:

  • Frequent reposts and amplified visibility from the main Shiba Inu X accounts
  • Consistent features in Shib Magazine
  • Participation and attendance from other Shibarium communities in K9 voice chats — because no one else offers regular programming
  • Increased interaction rates on K9’s X account, now among the highest sustained engagement periods for the brand
  • Stronger alignment with other communities and their well-known personalities and voices

The SubDAO has quietly accomplished something rare:
K9 is now viewed as a thought-leader within Shib.

4. Community Engagement & Transparency

Even before the Shibarium bridge hack forced the temporary halt of K9 Quest analytics, the Marketing SubDAO oversaw:

  • A period of steady growth in website traffic
  • Significant increases in forum engagement and governance participation
  • Clear, honest communication during difficult industry moments

This is especially notable because K9 maintained sentiment and participation even while:

  • Shibarium volumes collapsed
  • Projects left or went dormant
  • Key infrastructure broke
  • Toxic mod factions and ecosystem personalities attempted to attack K9 or the SubDAO directly

And despite those pressures, the SubDAO:

  • Told the truth during the LEASH rebase chaos
  • Informed the community during the bridge hack
  • Endured retaliation from hostile voices
  • Kept the brand upright, trusted, and forward-moving

This kind of fortitude is not normal.
It’s institutional maturity.

5. Major Achievements Delivered

The Marketing SubDAO has directly contributed to:

:round_pushpin:Blockchain Futurist Copper Sponsorship (November 2025)

  • Executed during a difficult market
  • Positive feedback from attendees, partners, and ecosystem watchers
  • Demonstrated K9’s willingness to show up even when conditions were not ideal

:round_pushpin:Content Output

  • More audio content than any other project in Shibarium
  • Daily or near-daily information flow
  • Consistent news, education, and governance clarity

:round_pushpin:Ecosystem Sentiment

  • K9 has become known as the steady voice when everything else becomes noise
  • The community consistently praises the SubDAO’s transparency
  • K9’s ability to maintain brand confidence would not exist without this team

:round_pushpin:Governance Leadership

  • Educational efforts explaining how DAOs work, how proposals move, how voting functions, and how to navigate community disagreements
  • K9 is widely recognized as having one of the healthiest and most open governance flows in the ecosystem directly due to SubDAO output

6. Gratitude to SubDAO Members (Past & Present)

This proposal also serves to publicly recognize the members of the Marketing SubDAO, including those who have moved on, for their discipline, creativity, and resilience.

These individuals:

  • Kept building when others quit
  • Maintained morale during attacks and misinformation
  • Carried the torch of transparency
  • Worked within tight budgets without sacrificing execution
  • Set standards that other DAO teams now look to as examples

K9 Finance is fortunate - genuinely fortunate - to have people of this caliber contributing to its growth.

7. Reason for This Vote

A Vote of Confidence is not a defensive measure.
It is a statement of unity and stability.

In a time when:

  • Markets remain uncertain
  • Ecosystem structures shift
  • Misinformation occasionally targets SubDAO operations
  • And leadership roles across crypto DAOs face increasing scrutiny

It is healthy for a community to periodically reaffirm support for the structures that are working.

The Marketing SubDAO has:

  • Proven its value
  • Proven its consistency
  • Proven its necessity
  • And proven its ability to weather ecosystem turbulence

A Vote of Confidence signals that the community recognizes this, and supports continued operation under the current structure.

8. What This Vote Means

A “YES” vote affirms that:

  1. The Marketing SubDAO has the community’s confidence
  2. Its direction and output remain aligned with K9 Finance values
  3. Its continued operation is beneficial to the DAO
  4. The community supports the SubDAO’s ongoing stewardship of messaging, education, and sentiment

A “NO” vote simply signals that a separate discussion should occur about its future operations.

This is a stability-focused resolution; not a budget request, not a leadership election, and not a structural overhaul.

9. Final Statement

K9 Finance has built something rare: a multi-layered governance structure that actually works.
The Marketing SubDAO is a foundational part of that success.

This resolution gives the community the opportunity to affirm that success and continue building on it.

The Marketing SubDAO has earned the trust of this community.
A Vote of Confidence simply reflects that truth publicly.

That’s a hell YES from me. Keep it up Sub DAO!

It’s a yes from me, too, but I may be a little biased. The Sub-DAO, under Shane’s leadership, has consistently shown up for the community, from protecting holders, to managing the marketing budget, handling socials, to regular VC’s/X Spaces, and representing K9 at the Futurist Conference.

This group is K9 to the core, and one of the best things we have going to help our community & project grow.

Excited to see where the K9 team & the Sub-DAO can take us in the future!

I was a part of the sub-DAO from January 2025 to October 2025. During that time, we came together with ideas, brainstormed, and built out the marketing you’ve been seeing for months now.

All of the points mentioned in the main post are true and verified.

What we have is a minority that complains, but doesn’t put in the work. Any time you ask them to help, they disappear, only to show up months later to complain again. When asked to give examples or ideas, it’s always the same “DYOR”, “Not my job”, “I don’t know how”. Complainers embarrass themselves and the community sees it publicly.

Put out, or sit back, never in-between.

If you don’t like how the sub-DAO is being ran, propose for a change. No one can make 100% of the community happy and trust we’re not happy with complainers. It stains your online presence and reputation amongst the chats.

Examples of complainers:

  • The chart sucks, do something.
  • Why did you interact with that post?
  • We need new leadership.
  • My investment is down 99%.
  • I don’t see a $KNINE token at our booth (It was everywhere, btw)

Guess what, none of that is the fault of the sub-DAO. There is so much that the average person doesn’t know and is not in conversation with that’s happening in the background. When people like Shane, Queen, Radar, or me bring these issues to attention, we’re attacked, even by our own community.

Admit to yourselves you don’t understand the big picture, watch, and learn.

The sub-DAO is beaten down weekly, if not daily. It’s one of the reasons I decided to drop out. This team puts in hours and hours of work every single week and rarely thanked for their efforts. It’s always this or that and never “thank you for taking the time to educate us”. The sub-DAO is a privilege to have, not a right. The K9 Finance and sub-DAO teams have gone WAY above and beyond ANY of the other projects on Shibarium and you dare to question us? Get bent.

IF YOU HAVE SOLUTIONS TO WHAT YOU THINK ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE SUB-DAO, BRING THEM TO ATTENION IN THE FORUM!

If you don’t know how to articulate and just voice problems without solutions, you are part of the problem, not a savior.

It’s very important that this note is read and understood.

I will add my voice to those who have already confirmed their YES, while seconding @Couch_Adventures. It is RARELY a good thing to switch a horse in the middle of a race. If there are things that can be done better, consider suggestions and brainstorming ideas for how the existing Sub-Dao can be better performing. This will have way more momentum and chances of success than simply saying “tear it all down and start over”.

Also, if you are “worried” because you feel the sub-dao isn’t doing enough, or what you want, ask yourself some of the following questions:

Am I posting forum discussions here?
Am I suggesting solutions?
Am I interacting with the efforts of the Sub-Dao in a meaningful way?
Am I informed and educated and up to date on the FACTS?
Am I taking responsibility for the things I want to see?

If you are honest with yourself, and the answers to the above tend to be “no”, then that is the FIRST thing you ought to do, before demanding overhauling changes.

Yes from me. I see a team (sub-dao) showing up daily, and putting the work in. Through the easy to handle conversations as well as the hard to have conversations, we see a consistent Transparent approach from the subdao, with the best interests of k9. I am looking forward to what the future holds for k9 with the subdao. Keep being great Sub-DAO. Woof!

YES. The SubDAO has threaded an impossible needle this past year.

After inheriting an existential crisis during a supremely unhelpful market -

  1. They doubled down on comms making sure no concern goes unaddressed - even for complaints unrelated to K9.
  2. They explored the possibility of expansion to new chains which displayed critical forethought.
  3. They literally just took centerstage at a major event to show people what K9 is all about.

All while providing the majority of value for an otherwise floundering chain.

They have my full gratitude and support.

Now I really want to see this SubDAO at full throttle in a bull market.

It is worth pointing out that this is a LOT of busy work to be done monthly, purely for the sake of transparency. There’s nothing wrong asking for it, but also consider the time and effort this takes, with no return to K9 when the lead of the SubDao could be putting efforts toward more productive endeavors.

Might I suggest Quarterly, or every 6 months.
