I think it’s a good time to take advantage of market volatility and buy $100,000 worth of ETH.
This would deplete a huge amount of the K9 Treasury.
This proposal needs to be fleshed out much further and I highly encourage you to use Agent9 to help do it.
At this time, to just fully invest 100k into ETH is irresponsible and poorly thought out as an action for the K9 DAO to consider.
Please use Agent 9 and craft a larger, more detailed proposal on why you think K9 should diversify it’s treasury holdings into ETH with supporting facts and details.
Thank you for making this proposal. I definitely would like to see more details regarding the proposed action. For instance, where the 100000 is coming from, as well as the impact it can have. I would love to see k9 making positive moves in the market but as is I believe this proposal needs more to it.
The market has been tough this cycle, I’d like to leave it up to the DAO when it comes to managing the treasury, they’ve been managing it pretty darn good up to this point, no need to change anything, in my opinion.
I say No, at this time…
Short answer: NO.
Game Theory applies. Bitcoin, and furthermore all web3 Crypto assets, are too finite in their operation. The vicious cycle of asset accumulation followed by a hack is proving to be too much. The original idea of Bitcoin sounds awesome on paper therefore governments are not accepting it.
Even the United States understands that from time to time fraud, waste, and abuse appears in many different forms. Bitcoin, and Etherium, do not, or at least in spirit and principle will not, allow a reverse of transactions; facing backlash from the general public for not abiding by the rules.
Putting that much capital into Etherium sounds awesome on paper if this space did not include the threat of fraudulent transactions written in complex computer code, but that is like putting too many eggs into one basket and you trip. My vote will be NO to this.
If you want to understand Game Theory, as applied to bitcoin, watch a few youtube videos, or ask chatgpt to give you a run down of game theory between bitcoin and the US treasury department.
