MrLightspeed

With over 35 years of experience in the US Air Force and the defense industry, I’ve built a strong foundation in aviation operations, space manufacturing, organizational leadership, and performance. I’m passionate about educating and empowering the next generation of leaders. These are the individuals who will deliver superior airpower to support our national security objectives (wearing my combat aviator hat - the side hustle) or, in the case of the blockchain industry, running my business as President of Lightspeed Crypto Services, LLC (wearing my blockchain hat - the main gig).

As a faculty member, I teach online master’s courses for the Air Command and Staff College. My courses cover applied air, space, and cyber warfare as well as strategic leadership. I bring to the table credentials like Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL3), a Doctorate in Management (DM), and a Master’s in Aeronautical Science (MAS). I graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1993 with a B.S. in General Engineering and enlisted in the US Air Force in 1988 prior to admission into the academy. My expertise in program and project management, as well as international negotiation as a Treaty Team Chief for the Open Skies Treaty, allows me to create engaging learning experiences for my students as well as be an effective consultant for a variety of blockchain-related projects.

In my previous roles—ranging from director of operations to senior program manager and squadron commander—I’ve led and managed complex teams, projects, and missions. Since 2019, I have been focused primarily on blockchain and teaching.

What I’ve learned from actual experience can be summed up as follows:
